  • Promote the training of high-level human resources in the country to carry out research and innovation projects.
  • Strengthen the lines of research defined in the doctorate by increasing the competitiveness of the productive sectors of the region with new technologies.

Methodology


Doctoral studies last 3 years. The main activity of the doctoral program is the development of a research discipline on a topic. The courses will be taken during the first two years and the third year will be dedicated exclusively to the research thesis. It is evident that in addition to the scientific and technological training of the doctoral program, the University of Piura emphasizes the humanistic training of graduates, taking into account that a good conception of science and technology put at the service of human beings is important to improve the dignity and quality of life of our society.

Relevance and connection with the productive sector.

One of the priority areas is the competitiveness of the productive sectors, to increase it technology is required, which is why this doctorate is also focused on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for productive management, agro-industrial sector, fishing sector, efficiency in operation of industrial processes, development of innovations applying cutting-edge techniques and technologies such as artificial intelligence, embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, neural networks, hyperspectral images, remote solutions, technologies and equipment for precision agriculture.
