Development of a pilot platform for remote monitoring and assistance in the event of natural disasters, through the use of a fixed-wing drone for the provision of medical and food supplies, in the Piura Region
Description
In recent years, the development of unmanned aerial vehicles has made it easier for them to replace manned vehicles in unprofitable tasks or where the crew was endangered. In Peru, the development of fixed-wing UAVs has not yet spread much; those that exist are only used for different types of surveillance. For emergency situations, such as the one experienced in our region during the 2016 Coastal Children, a highly autonomous vehicle used to reconnaissance the terrain and transport loads of up to 5kg could have contributed greatly. With this aerial vehicle, emergency kits or specific cargo could be sent that cannot be sent by land and whose air delivery by traditional means (planes or helicopters) would be impractical due to the small volume such as units of blood, vaccines, medications, flares, etc
