Program Strengths

Teaching plan

The program is made up of full-time teachers, who integrate their teaching activities with research activities. 67 % of them have an academic degree of doctor.
Likewise, the program's teachers make up the largest number of UDEP research teachers recognized in the National Registry of Science and Technology Researchers (Renacyt).

Competitive training with international standards

The program offers training in general project theory and the development of project management skills under the international standards of IPMA and PMI.

Additionally, being part of the ExtendSim Adopter program allows you to give students a competitive advantage by teaching them simulation techniques and principles.

Furthermore, both our faculty and students have the opportunity to access the Premium version of DataCamp, an online learning platform specializing in data science and artificial intelligence, free of charge. The Spanish version of this platform is available at https://www.datacamp.com/es

INTERNATIONALLY ACCREDITED PROGRAM

The program is accredited by ICACIT, which certifies compliance with international academic and management standards. This accreditation enhances graduates' job prospects, as well as their chances of obtaining scholarships and participating in student exchange programs. ICACIT It is a Peruvian quality institution specializing in programs in Architecture, Computing, Science, Engineering and Engineering Technology and is the first Latin American accrediting agency that is part of the International Engineering Alliance, as a Signatory member of Washington Accord.

Program with Icacit Accreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Committee (CAI) of Icacit, under the criteria ggenerals and the criteria of the Industrial Engineering Program. http://www.icacit.org.pe/

Educational Objectives and Graduate Attributes

HUMANISTIC TRAINING AND PERSONAL ADVICE

The program offers a high level of technical knowledge and solid humanistic training, which defines ethics and morality in search of the truth. This forms the seal that characterizes UDEP graduates.

Likewise, the program provides personalized academic advice through a system of personal and professional tutoring, during all years of study.

International agreement

The Industrial and Systems Engineering academic program has agreements to study a master's degree in Boston University, University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and George Mason University (GMU).

Upon completion of their studies, and depending on their academic performance, these agreements between the universities and UDEP allow students to validate one or two courses from the regular program, resulting in cost and time savings within the graduate program. This benefit is also available to graduates from the last five years for Boston University and the last three years for the University of Northern Iowa, within each annual application period.

In the case of George Mason University (United States), UDEP students will be able to obtain a master's degree in Systems Engineering or in Operations Research, offered by the Department of Systems Engineering and Operations Research (SEOR). This agreement allows students to begin their master's degree immediately after completing their fifth year of undergraduate studies, validating courses taken at UDEP.

Students will be able to decide the start date of classes, according to their interests, and achieve their master's degree in one year. full time at Boston University, in 1.5 years at the University of Northern Iowa, or under the established modality at George Mason University (3 years at UDEP, 1 year of undergraduate studies at GMU and 1 year of postgraduate studies at GMU).

The University of Piura maintains cooperation agreements with various educational institutions internationally, which promote the scientific development of teachers, researchers and students.

PEACE ENGINEERING AND SUSTAINABILITY

Infrastructure

The program's infrastructure allows academic and research activities to be carried out in classrooms and laboratories surrounded by the natural landscape of the campus, in an environment conducive to reflection and study, in accordance with the demands of university education.
