Description


It is a technological innovation project co-financed by the Innóvate Perú Program. The company El Chalán SAC was the requesting entity and the University of Piura participated as an associated entity. It was executed in Piura from April 2019 to April 2020 with an investment of 360 thousand soles.

The main objective of the project was to improve the processes in the ice cream production line through the improvement of its production processes and the implementation of a 30 KWP solar photovoltaic system to meet part of the electrical demand of the production plant. . The photovoltaic solar supply system will work in parallel with the electrical network of the electrical distribution company ENOSA.

This project is one of the first actions developed by the company El Chalán SAC to become an eco-efficient company, taking advantage of an abundant resource in the Piura region such as solar energy, which is renewable energy.
Researchers from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Department of Electrical Mechanical Engineering participated in this project.
