Numerical-experimental study for the generation of clean energy with high efficiency using solid biomass and coal waste through primary thermal monitoring measurements and combustion diagnostics

Summary

The global research project is dedicated to addressing the scientific, technological and economic challenges for the use of biomass for energy generation with high energy efficiency and low pollution, and includes the use of solid waste biomass, thermochemical processes such as combustion of biomass, biomass gasification and biomass/coal cogasification. Research in this area will be useful for improving the efficiency of energy generation, biofuel production by gasification and its sustainability over time.

Goals

  1. Optimize thermal efficiency, reduce pollution and improve safety during operation in thermal generation plants in the sugar and alcohol industry.
  2. Optimize the gasification process of solid biomass waste and study the possibilities of co-gasification of biomass with coal to seek a clean use of our coal resources.
  3. Study the economic implications of agroenergy due to the different forms of access to land to obtain raw materials for the sugar and alcohol industries.
