University
The Universidad de Piura seeks to train people with professional excellence, open to the needs of others, with judgment and personality, capable of a successful life and improving society.
It bases its work on four main axes: teaching, comprehensive training, research and social responsibility.
Teaching
We seek close support to the students. That is why we have a large number of full-time teachers.
Integral formation
Fundamental pillars: commitment to the truth; respect for personal freedom and responsibility; spirit of industriousness and service; and humanist tradition.
Investigation
We promote a constant dialogue with the national and international scientific community.
Social responsability

Infrastructure
Piura Campus
This 130-hectare campus is located in the city of Piura, in the department of the same name, in northern Peru, where it began its activities in 1969.
Lima Campus
In 2003, the University of Piura began its academic activities in Lima. The campus is located in the tourist heart of the Miraflores district.
School of Management - PAD
The School's headquarters are located in Monterrico, in Lima. It also carries out its activity in the cities of Piura, Chiclayo and Trujillo.
Academic training
243 teachers with a doctorate degree, obtained from prestigious universities in several countries.

Social responsability

As part of its research activity, the university carries out projects that impact the development of its environment and the sustainable use of its natural resources. In addition, from the various areas and centers, it organizes social action work in favor of vulnerable populations.
