Testimonials

Elias Castaneda

Electrical Mechanical Engineering student, did internships at the company ARCOELECTRONICA, Spain.

“In my first month of internship at the Arco Group, I received technical-commercial training at the ArcoElectronica company. This training has been guided by a plan developed so that I can learn about each piece of equipment, software, among other products manufactured in the company. Having already completed this first month, I have made a first presentation of what I learned in the company and now I will begin to receive training at the ArcoMet7 company hoping to continue acquiring the necessary knowledge for good performance.”

Johan Pardo Samaniego

Student of Electrical Mechanical Engineering at UDEP, he did an internship at the company P3 Group, Germany.

“I spent my stay in the city of Stuttgart, Germany, doing an internship at the P3 Group company, dedicated among many areas to the manufacture of test benches for vehicles. Doing an internship abroad is a unique experience that changes your life and perspective of seeing things. We learn how other cultures think, their lifestyle and their knowledge. But above all, it updates us and makes us more competitive in the world of work. This is why I recommend all students do an internship to gain professional experience through IAESTE.”

Claudia Quineche

UNMSM student, did an internship at the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden

“I did my exchange for 1 year at the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden, a small city in the North of Sweden very close to the Arctic Circle. I have developed in the Chemical Technology department, working on a Research and Development project in cooperation with a Swedish mining company (Boliden AB). The projects in which I have been involved are in the area of hydrometallurgy for the recovery of metals through leaching and solvent extraction. This experience has helped me continue developing both personally and professionally, having the opportunity to know and live a totally different culture.
Getting a place at IAESTE was not easy, but since I found out about the program I actively participated in the local committee and made an effort to meet the necessary requirements to be able to fit the profile sought when applying. I was rejected on some occasions, but I did not give up and thanks to IAESTE Peru I was able to be very close to the Arctic Circle and live my IAESTE experience.”

Rodrigo Sanchez

Civil Engineering student, did an internship at the Ghent company, Belgium.

“Joining IAESTE is probably one of the best work related decisions I have taken; it gives you the opportunity to grow as a professional and as a person, by meeting many people and learning about their culture.
Thanks to IAESTE, I am working in Bricsys, a software company for architectures and civil engineers, dedicated to 3D modeling and BIM methodology. It consists of start from scratch any project (such as buildings, bridges, stadiums) and use BricsCAD BIM to shape a 3D model with information about its construction: material of the project, measures, cost and else.”

Hernan Velarde

Student at the National University of Engineering, he did an internship in Thailand.

“After almost 1 full day of flight, I arrived in Thailand, it has been a great experience in my life. The first few weeks of my stay were adjusting to a new schedule, new activities, and a new culture. The institution where I did my internship was a university where I have had a great reception from everyone. During these weeks at the university, I met professors from different specialties and had the opportunity to assist some students in some activities where a professor allowed me to take part. Although few people speak English, this has motivated me to learn more of their language. An unforgettable experience!
