In accordance with Law No. 29783, the Occupational Safety and Health Law, and its implementing regulations, Supreme Decree No. 005-2012-TR, both companies and public entities have the obligation to promote a culture of prevention of occupational risks and diseases, creating a work environment that safeguards the well-being of workers. This obligation must be fulfilled by optimizing processes to prevent potential risks from the improper use of machinery, exposure to toxic agents, poor ergonomics, precarious environmental conditions, and so on.
It is the duty of the State and the workers themselves to oversee and monitor compliance.
