The Course

Proper contract management is key to the success of a project; therefore, it is of great importance for organizations, public or private, to properly establish the terms of exchange between suppliers and clients to ensure their smooth compliance, considering that they are constantly involved in a complex interaction of material resources, processes, products, information flows and financial resources, which need to be aligned and synchronized over time.

In this context, contract, purchasing and procurement management is an extremely useful tool for those responsible for planning and implementing logistics within supply chain management, which is why at the University of Piura we will develop this Specialization Program.

Learning Objectives

Develop a training program that allows you to strengthen solid competencies for effective management of contracts, purchases and project acquisitions. Procurement management includes the processes required to acquire or purchase products, services or results necessary by the work team to execute the work. Contract management represents the basis that supports the commercial relationship between clients and their contractors, since it determines the rights and duties of each of the parties.

  • Professionals involved in project management and administration with responsibility for contract management, such as engineers, administrators, and contract managers.
  • Engineers from various specialties (industrial, mining, mechanical, computer science, civil construction) and personnel in charge of studies, proposals and projects.
  • Managers and heads of key areas such as operations, planning, control, risks, as well as purchasing advisors and those responsible for supply and acquisitions.
