IX Specialization Program in Agroindustrial Management

The presenters are professionals with extensive experience in academia, consulting and advisory services, as well as in the professional practice of agro-industrial management development. Among them are:

  • MGTR. VICTOR GARRIDO LECCA

Industrial Engineer from the University of Piura. MBA from the Senior Management Program at the University of Piura. Experienced since 1987 as a producer and exporter of conventional and organic marigold flowers, organic cotton, corn, paprika, bell peppers, piquillo peppers, jalapeño peppers, yellow chili peppers, watermelon, melon, onions, table grapes, and organic bananas, among other crops, on owned and leased land. Promoter, Manager, Partner, and Advisor for Agro-industrial Projects, from the selection of agricultural land and evaluation of all its resources, to the presentation of the Business Plan and/or the execution of the Project; primarily for companies with investment projects in table grapes, organic bananas, and lemons in northern Peru. Currently, he is a Partner and General Manager of GL SOPORTE AGRICOLA SAC and a Director of the agricultural company PERU SUN FRUITS SAC.

 

  • MGTR. JULIO ZAVALA MUÑOZ

Agricultural Engineer specializing in Agricultural Business Management from the La Molina Agrarian University. MBA from the Senior Management Program at the University of Piura (Lima Campus). Currently, he is the General Manager of Agroriego Tattersall Perú SAC. He previously worked at Naandan Jain Perú SAC, an Indian-Israeli company dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of irrigation systems for agriculture (a subsidiary of Naandan Jain Israel); he was responsible for business development in Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia, in accordance with the strategic guidelines of the parent company.

 

  • MGTR. PAOLA GUTIÉRREZ RICO

Agricultural Engineer from the National University of Trujillo. MBA in Strategic Business Management from Centrum Católica. Currently serves as Technical Area Manager at Netafim Perú SAC. Previously, he was Project Manager and Engineering Manager at the same company, and Head of Engineering and Product Design and Development Engineer for companies in various sectors at TIPONET SAC, a company acquired by Netafim Perú SAC.

 

  • MGTR. MARIO ESPINO

Mechanical Engineer, MBA, PMP. He has served as Plant Manager at Stevia One Perú Industria SAC, Project Manager at CORMEI SAC, Project Manager at Agrolmos Coazucar SA (Grupo Gloria), Project Manager at SNC LAVALIN PERU SA, among other companies. He is currently an independent consultant, with SNC Lavalin, EVOL, and PMB Consulting as his main clients.
He specializes in collaborative contracts, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), has training in computer systems, and is a project management instructor. He has over 25 years of experience leading operations and projects in sectors such as mining, cement, construction, agribusiness, and food.

 

  • Dr. Mirna Zuzunaga

Doctor of Food Science and Technology from the University of Murcia, Spain. Agricultural Engineer from the National Agrarian University La Molina, Peru. FSPCA Lead Instructor in Preventive Controls for Human Food Safety under FSMA. Instructor in Produce Safety Standards for Fresh Produce, certified by the Produce Safety Alliance and AFDO. Training in Food Safety and Fresh Produce Quality Maintenance from the University of California, Davis. Development and Implementation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Systems for the Food Industry from the University of Texas, USA. Twenty years of experience in the public and private sectors in management and strategic planning in agribusiness, food safety, plant health, trade, and international standards and regulations.
