Presentation
At a global level, techniques and methods have been promoted for efficient management of road infrastructure, understood as an asset that must be self-sustaining and efficiently managed by government entities. Key aspects such as new methods of structural design of pavements, the study and inclusion of new materials, as well as the incorporation of new technological tools for the planning and management of infrastructure are at a fairly incipient level in Peru and the Latin American region due, among other factors, to the lack of professionals who can make their incorporation into road projects possible. In this sense, professionals are required who master this knowledge, apply it in projects and can actively participate in the standardization processes of these new technologies in Peru.
educational objectives
The objective of the master's program is to train highly qualified professionals for the region and the national level who are capable of designing and managing road infrastructure projects, who can know the fundamentals in the specific areas of transport planning and engineering, geometric design of roads and structural design of pavements, road safety, hydraulic design of ancillary works, and who are able to know the technological support tools and incorporate them into road solutions.
Likewise, the aim is for them to be able to participate in multidisciplinary teams at the management level or as team members, focused on the development of road solutions or the introduction of new technologies.
