General studies area

Students acquire a deep knowledge of themselves and the human being in the higher faculties that distinguish them, from their corporal, psychological and spiritual components, in the development and learning process. It allows us to lay the foundations and requirements of the university world and prepare the student to increase their abilities through fundamental subjects that provide the opportunity for the development of their subsequent studies.

Specific study area

Students significantly learn both the principles of pedagogical knowledge and action as well as the value criteria and norms that constitute the Education career. They also know the aspects of general didactics, the management and organization of educational institutions in different contexts and computer technology applied to education. Orientation to families in the socio-educational framework is a topic that is also addressed, as are the bases of the research methodology.

Specialty study area

Students develop a high level of mastery of the scientific disciplines of Initial Education and the explanatory principles of their teaching in Basic Education. They apply knowledge of special didactics at the initial level in curricular areas, in different socio-educational realities with relevance, respect, tolerance and multiculturalism. They build congruent theoretical knowledge at an epistemological level, based on reflection and analysis of problems in practice.
