History and social sciences

You will distinguish yourself by mastering content related to the disciplinary knowledge that you will teach.

The History and Social Sciences degree provides a solid humanistic training and a transcendent vision of life. We train competent professionals in the Social Sciences, mastering a set of contents of art history, political and economic geography, universal, American, Peruvian and regional history, philosophy and political thought that give a holistic vision of human and social thought throughout of history. Likewise, their pedagogical and didactic training enables them to generate significant and constructive learning in the formation of adolescents as future citizens of the world. He is capable of leading interdisciplinary work that generates current educational proposals committed to the social transformation of the country.

Have successfully completed secondary education. Demonstrate having basic knowledge of mathematics and communication. Possess a general training profile of skills in a triple dimension: personal, cognitive and technical-procedural.

The graduate of History and Social Sciences knows how to exercise leadership in the five areas of his teaching functions: management of the History and Social Sciences curriculum, planning and programming of teaching; pedagogical and didactic development of teaching; educational orientation; organization-management-administration.

a) Master the curricular theory of History and Social Sciences with the focus on national education and its respective techniques of planning, diversification, and programming of teaching to meet current educational, social, and environmental needs.

b) Master pedagogy, didactics and diversify the curriculum based on regional and institutional educational needs.

c) Manager in the areas of public and private educational administration and direction.

The basic area develops the theoretical, anthropological and philosophical foundations of the human person and their social dimension capable of achieving improvement in accordance with their personal dignity. This is knowledge that supports subsequent specific learning in the Education career.

Training area

The training area develops the theoretical aspects, approach and methodologies of the career, accompanied by an ethical component and the value of the person who seeks their improvement and happiness in an environment of respect and conservation of the ecosystem. The subjects allow the development of research and educational intervention skills, in order to generate theoretical and practical knowledge for the improvement of the Peruvian educational system.

 

Specialty area

In this area, students have subjects that provide them with content of the specific discipline, the tools and procedures for their future professional intervention. The subjects of the History and Social Sciences degree provide a set of knowledge of art history, political and economic geography, universal, American, Peruvian and regional history, philosophy and political thought, which imbue a holistic vision of human and social thought. along the history. At the same time, it handles theories, approaches and methodologies for secondary school teaching of History, Geography and Social Sciences according to the proposals of the Peruvian National Curriculum and also with a local and general vision, in summary, global and integrative.
