Presentation
Since 2007, the University of Piura has offered the Master's Degree in Water Resources with the objective of providing graduates in civil engineering, agricultural engineering and related careers; a high specialization in the design and operation of hydraulic structures, physical and numerical modeling, storm drainage of cities, management and planning of water resources, this will be achieved based on master classes, practical cases and field visits; as well as encouraging participants to develop business skills and, at the same time, solid human training.
The study plan consists of 22 subjects taught in 3 semesters with 4 intensive weeks. To obtain the Master's degree, a research project will be developed, which consists of presenting a technical solution on a case that the participant is facing in their professional life or a research applied to a need in the region.
We have the technical support of the Institute of Hydraulics, Hydrology and Sanitary Engineering of the University of Piura.
Academic objectives
The objective of the master's degree is to provide the future master with professional skills that allow him to formulate, design, evaluate, manage and make decisions in water resources projects from a more integrative perspective, both in the technical, social, economic, environmental and of state policies in the water sector. Likewise, they must know how to manage projects with an articulated global vision, which are sustainable from an economic, social and environmental point of view, from their conception to their completion.
In addition, the aim is to achieve a high technical and managerial level, based on skills, values and attitudes of excellence.
