National Program for Ongoing Training and Capacity Building - PRONAFCAP

During 2008 and 2009, teachers from Talara and Paita received training, and in 2010, teachers from Chulucanas were trained. They received basic training covering the areas of communication, logical-mathematical reasoning, academic specialization, and school curriculum. This training was complemented by monitoring and advising of teacher performance. Thus, the university sessions were conducted by specialist professors, and the monitoring was carried out by a team of teachers, advised by the specialist professors. This training incorporated reading comprehension, inclusive education, and ethics and values as cross-cutting themes.
