Professional title – Professional Sufficiency Work (TSP)

 

Professional Title Requirements

To request the granting of a Professional Title in Civil Engineering in the TSP modality

1. Be a graduate of an academic program of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Piura, at least two years previously.

2. Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture.

3. Have provided professional services for a minimum of two years, in one or more work centers in related areas of engineering or architecture. This professional experience will be evaluated by the Academic Program Director of the graduate's specialty and will only be considered if it was carried out in the field of the corresponding career.

4. Develop and approve a TSP.

To request the issuance of the Title diploma

1. Have an Agreement from the Higher Council to obtain the corresponding Bachelor's Degree.

2. Present the issuance request respective.

TSP Documentation

A. TSP Plan

1. The TSP plan, submitted to the faculty secretary, must await approval. The plan consists of:

• A summary of professional experience at the company(ies). This should briefly describe the professional activities performed within the companies where you have worked, including participation in projects or process improvements, planning, or organization, all of which must be supported by the corresponding documentation. Activities should be organized by date, name, location, etc. The justification and relevance to your profession, as well as the importance of these activities to the environment in which you gained professional experience, must be explained.

• The Professional Proficiency Work Plan should be for the most relevant work you have chosen. See TSP Plan Criteria.

• Employment certificates specifying the positions held at the workplaces throughout your employment period.

2. Application for approval of the TSP Plan

All this documentation must be sent digitally to the email address: tramites.titulo.ingenieria.piura@udep.edu.pe

1. Once the Plan has been approved by the Academic Program Director, the decision is formally communicated to the graduate, indicating the following:

• There is a maximum period of 30 days to coordinate a meeting with the Director of the Academic Program where a pre-evaluation of the TSP to be submitted will be carried out. The Reviewing Professor also participates in the pre-evaluation meeting.

• That there is a 90-day period for the submission of the TSP.

B. Approval of the TSP

1. To obtain the professional title, the TSP must follow the rules already established by the Faculty according to the Style Guidelines Faculty of Engineering

2. Present the Application for granting the Title and date of support.

3. Proof of no debt provided by the Pensions Office (Managed in the email oficinadepensiones@udep.edu.pe).

4. Attach the Review Professor's Report on the TSP.

5. Copy of the receipt for payment of the corresponding academic fee Account and right of the TSP.

6. Fill out the following personal forms:

7. Four (4) passport-size photographs (5.5 x 4.2 cm) in color with a white background and facing forward on matte cardstock. The photos are submitted in JPG format, with the obligation to deliver the physical copies when university access is reinstated.

8. Clear copy of the ID card (both sides on the same face, not in color).

The reviewing teacher sends a memorandum to the Academic Secretariat indicating whether the work has observations or is approved without observations.
If there are any observations, the graduate must resubmit the corrected TSP (having addressed the observations), along with a new report from the reviewer (this process is repeated until the reviewer approves the TSP).

C. Support of the TSP

Once the thesis has been approved, the following information must be sent to the email address tramites.titulo.ingenieria.piura@udep.edu.pe:

1. The digital version of the TSP in Word and PDF formats, identical to the printed version, except for the insertion of the watermark with the shield of the University of Piura in PDF format.

2. Sworn statement of thesis authenticity. If the thesis was prepared as a group, each author must sign a separate authorization.

3. Information sheet for the thesis or research work in Spanish and English, with a maximum of 500 words. If the document is invoked with a confidentiality period, this must be a non-confidential summary of said information.

4. The tab Authorization for open access publication in the PIRHUA institutional repository It must be correctly filled out and signed by the author, indicating their agreement with its submission to the PIRHUA institutional repository. If the final project was prepared as a group, each author must sign a separate authorization form. These forms must be duly authorized by the faculty secretariat.

5. The originality report signed by the author(s) and the advisor. Turnitin report.

NOTE:

When in-person activities resume at UDEP, the graduate must present a physical copy of the TSP in the format established by the University and communicated by the Faculty.
You are also informed that, in order to participate in the Opening Ceremony of the academic year, the TSP must be defended no later than March 30th.
