Pre professional practices

The practices pre-professional (PPP) must last at least 250 hours or 2 months. In addition, you have 1 month from your last day of internship to submit your report, the Internship Certificate and the Evaluation Form. During the summer and July vacation period, there is no teaching staff to review the PPP reports. The approval of these could be extended until the following semester. 

 


 

Procedures:

  • The Academic Secretary of the Faculty receives notification, via email, about the registration of a student for the internship validation process. pre-professional. 
  • The student completes the “Work Environment” questionnaire. Through the completed questionnaire, the Academic Secretary monitors the practices pre-professional of student .
  • The Academic Secretary is notified, through an email messagectronic, when the student Upload the employer's evaluation form to the intern in PDF format. 
  • The Academic Secretary is notified, through an email messagectronic, when the student sends the internship report pre-professional in PDF or Word format. 
  • The Academic Secretary sends, by email, the internship report pre-professional to the Director of the Academic Program to which the student belongs. 
  • The Academic Program Director designates a professor to review the report. 
  • The assigned teacher sends an email message to the student communicating the observations in the report. 
  • The assigned teacher receives a new version of the practice report pre-professional which is sent by the student via email to verify the collection of observations made by the assigned teacher 
  • The assigned teacher sends the Practice Report to the Academic Secretary pre-professional approved, via email, indicating compliance with it. 
  • The Academic Secretary updates the status of the internship validation documents in the Excel Database pre-professional of the student, indicating their agreement. 
  • The Academic Secretary manually records compliance with the internship requirement in the Integrated Academic Management System (SIGA). pre-professional of student.
