The clinical rotation will take place in the Department of Pediatric Oncology, National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases.

The National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN), founded in 1939, is a national and regional reference institution in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, teaching and research of cancer in Peru.

In the field of pediatrics, the National Cancer Institute (INEN) is responsible for treating the majority of childhood cancer cases diagnosed in the country. According to the National Cancer Registry, approximately 1,800 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year in children under 18 years of age in Peru, with leukemias, central nervous system tumors, and lymphomas being the most frequent neoplasms. The Pediatric Oncology Department at INEN handles a significant portion of these cases, providing comprehensive care with a multidisciplinary approach and standardized treatment protocols.

 

Duration and schedule
  • The clinical rotation will take place from August 1st to 15th, 2025.
  • The schedule for carrying out activities is from Monday to Friday (except holidays), from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
