María José Calasanz (Spain) – CIMA LAB Diagnostics, University of Navarra.

With 32 years of experience, at CIMALAB Diagnostics, University of Navarra (Spain), she coordinates Comprehensive Genetic Diagnostics (which includes: conventional cytogenetics – G-banding karyotyping –, molecular cytogenetics – FISH –, molecular biology, mutation analysis – Sanger, NGS –, hematological neoplasms, solid tumors, and constitutional pathology). Her group works in genetic analysis as a reference laboratory, supporting the identification and validation of biomarkers, stratifying the patient population, and ultimately promoting precision medicine. She is also a professor of Human Genetics at the University of Navarra and a genetic illustrator in her free time.

Claudia Ipucha (Argentina) – CROM Institute of Human Cytogenetics

She holds a degree in Genetics from the National University of Misiones (Argentina). She has over 20 years of experience in cytogenetics, both evolutionary animal and human. She completed her postgraduate studies in Genetics at the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil), again focusing on evolutionary cytogenetics. Since 2013, she has directed the CROM Institute of Human Cytogenetics, providing postgraduate training to over 600 professionals from 15 different countries. She is a member of the Argentine Society of Genetics (SAG) and the Argentine Society of Clinical Embryology (SAEC), where she collaborates as a speaker on "Cytogenetics in Infertility" and provides genetic counseling on topics related to cytogenetics in infertility and reproduction. She also occasionally works as a freelance author for publishers such as Kapelusz, Mundo Hispano, and Captel.

Richard Zapata-Dongo (Peru) – University of Piura

He holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Research specializing in Cancer from the University of Navarra (Spain) and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the National University Pedro Ruiz Gallo (Peru). He has experience in cell culture, cytogenetics, and molecular biology of cancer, and has worked as a clinical cytogeneticist, identifying chromosomal abnormalities in patients with hematological malignancies. Currently, he is the coordinator of the Microscopy Laboratory, a professor, and a researcher at the Faculty of Human Medicine of the University of Piura, where he is working on a research project funded by Fondecyt focused on identifying new therapeutic targets for non-small cell lung cancer.
