The current constitutional state governed by the rule of law rests on the full exercise of fundamental rights as a suitable means to achieve the full realization of the individual, the supreme end of society and the state. Reality often raises relevant questions and consequent challenges regarding the full exercise of human rights in general and their national and international legal protection in particular. Therefore, it is advisable to promote scholarly forums aimed at identifying the new questions and consequent challenges posed by today's reality and how they can be addressed from the various fields of law.
To this end, the Third Inter-University Conference on Constitutional Law, "Human Rights and Constitutional Justice," will be held from November 5 to 7, 2026, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Piura. This academic gathering aims to promote debate and scholarly research on the main issues and challenges of Constitutional Law among university students, young lawyers, and prominent national and international constitutional scholars. This university forum has been developing since 2024 and is on its way to becoming one of the leading national events fostering academic dialogue on Constitutional Law.
In this edition, and in accordance with the aforementioned rationale, the dual thematic axis will be addressed: human rights and constitutional justice. This axis is further broken down into eight thematic lines around which the panel discussions will revolve. University students and young lawyers under 30 years of age interested in participating in the panel discussions to exchange ideas and reflections on the aforementioned thematic lines may submit their research in response to the Call for Papers. These papers will be evaluated by an advisory committee, which will select the most outstanding ones for inclusion in the panel discussions.
