He holds a PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo, specializing in Biotechnology and the development of recombinant vaccines against Schistosoma mansoni. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (Brazil) and the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), focusing on the expression, purification, and crystallization of proteins of biomedical interest. He has extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunoparasitology, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a major in Microbiology and Parasitology from the National University of San Marcos.
He holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of São Paulo and is a biologist by profession, with his thesis developed at LNBio-CNPEM. He is a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Human Medicine of the University of Piura (Lima), where he works on the molecular basis of cancer and drug discovery using computational tools. He also collaborates on research in antimicrobial resistance, mycology, and psychiatry.
He holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from the National University of San Marcos and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology specializing in Clinical Laboratory and Pathological Anatomy. He has led research projects in immunological diagnostics and is a member of the Molecular Medicine group at the Faculty of Medicine of UNMSM. He has published scientific articles and conducts research in immunometabolism, metagenomics, and bacterial resistance.
