The curriculum is organized into six highly specialized modules covering recombinant protein expression, clinical bioinformatics, genomics, and molecular modeling. It delves into cutting-edge medical tools such as gene editing using CRISPR-Cas, the use of viral and non-viral vectors in gene therapy, and the development of recombinant DNA or mRNA vaccines. Furthermore, the program addresses the production of essential biopharmaceuticals such as insulin, growth hormone, and monoclonal antibodies, along with the applications of cell therapy in regenerative medicine.

 Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the training process, the graduate is expected to acquire the following competencies:

  • Acquire basic scientific knowledge of molecular biology applied to genetic engineering.
  • Demonstrate analytical and critical reasoning skills in the design of projects that aim to solve problems with interventions directly from the gene.
  • Acquisition and development of skills in simple laboratory techniques for genetic manipulation.
Modality

The program will be delivered through lectures, colloquiums, and practical case development workshops to reinforce conceptual and interpretive aspects.

The program is delivered in a synchronous virtual format through interactive online sessions. Classes will be recorded so participants can review them.

 

Diploma
  • Certificate of specialization: It will be awarded to participants who have passed the program with a minimum grade of twelve (12) and meet more than 80% of class attendance.
  • Certificate of participation: This will be awarded to participants who do not pass the program, but who have more than 80% of class attendance.
