  • Course Virtual tools and foundations of ethics applied to university teaching

The course “Virtual Tools and Foundations of Ethics Applied in University Teaching” has been designed within the framework of the teacher training and development plan of the Faculty of Human Medicine of the University of Piura, so that its attendees can work on improving knowledge and skills in the areas of ethics, bioethics and teaching strategies in university teaching.

The Faculty of Human Medicine recognizes the importance of ethics in our daily lives and seeks to contribute to educators' responsibility in shaping individuals with independent judgment, enabling them to act and make sound decisions. Furthermore, the course will provide teachers with new, effective, and dynamic methodologies for teaching science and technology.

Likewise, at the University of Piura we understand that the challenges of higher education require dynamic, leading teachers who are capable of assimilating and promoting change, maximizing opportunities, and interacting efficiently with their stakeholders.

In the context of the COVID-19 health crisis, the course will allow medical education to be provided during a pandemic, covering the virtual teaching methodology based on clinical simulation and the ethical and bioethical aspects of medical education and research.
