Dr. Jaime Millás Mur

He holds a PhD in Bioethics from the Catholic University of Valencia (Spain), a Master's degree in Educational Management from the Villanueva University Center, affiliated with the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Master's degree in Bioethics from the University of Murcia (Spain). He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Valencia (Spain) and a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Piura (Peru). He coordinates the Bioethics Research Group (GIB) and chairs the Research Ethics Committee at the University of Piura. He also chairs the Advisory Council of the Faculty of Education at the same university.

He is the author of the book “Do Your Children Know How to Study?”, which contains learning strategies tailored to different age groups, as well as “Education and Bioethics: Some Current Issues,” which addresses pedagogical questions, scientific advances, and their ethical implications. He is also the co-author of the book “II Conference on Science and Human Life: Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine,” published by the National Council for Science and Technology (CONCYTEC). He has served as Director of Alpamayo School (Lima) and Turicará School (Piura). He is currently the Director of the Department of Basic Sciences and Bioethics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Piura.

Dr. Edgar Tejada Zevallos

Master's degree in Bioethics and Biolaw. Pediatrician and surgeon, graduated from the National University of San Marcos. Past Medical Director of the Anglo American Clinic. Member of the Peruvian Society of Pediatrics. He completed his pediatric training at various universities in North America. Professor of Bioethics at the University of Piura. Visiting Professor of Bioethics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at numerous national and international universities. Former Corresponding Member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. He participated as an Expert Auditor in Bioethics at the XIV Ordinary Synod in Rome. He is a member of the Family and Life Commission of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference. He currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. César Gutiérrez Villafuerte

Master's degree in Epidemiology and medical doctor from the National University of San Marcos. He has extensive experience in scientific research in the area of infectious diseases, mental health problems, and public health prevention and control measures.

Associate Professor in the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Section, Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, National University of San Marcos. Member of the Management Team of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Piura. Member of the Advisory Committee of the Peruvian Journal of Experimental Medicine and Public Health. Author of numerous publications in scientific journals. He has supervised master's theses and has served as a thesis defense committee member on multiple occasions. He currently serves as Director of the Department of Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Verónica Webb Linares

Medical doctor specializing in Pediatric Medicine and Neonatology from the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University. Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the same university. Diploma in Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition (PGPN 2016) by Boston University. She holds a diploma in university teaching from the National University of San Marcos. She is an assistant professor in the departments of Pediatric Medicine (undergraduate and postgraduate), Medical Ethics, and Epidemiology at Cayetano Heredia University. She participates in the research team of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Navarra (Spain). She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the South American Neonatal Network Neocosur. She is also an attending physician in the Neonatology Service at Cayetano Heredia Hospital and a member of the Neonatal Intensive Care team at San Felipe and Montesur Clinics. She is a pediatrician at Delgado Clinic and Head of the Embryology course at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Piura.

Dr. Leslie Young Espinoza

PhD in Neuroscience and Cognition from the University of Navarra with a qualification Cum Laude, She is a specialist in Psychiatry and Medical Psychology from the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, and a graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. She completed her training in clinical and research psychiatry at the Clinical and Research Program in Pediatric Psychiatry and Adult ADHD of the Massachusetts General Hospital, and in The Bressler Clinical and Research Program for Autism Spectrum Disorders, both attached to the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Carlos III University-EUDE (Spain). She is a member of the Basque-Navarre Society of Psychiatry and participates in the research team of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Navarra (Spain). She has worked as a psychiatrist in both private and public hospitals in Spain. She currently serves as Vice Dean of Development and Quality at the Faculty of Medicine.
Doctor of Medicine from the University of Navarra with a Cum Laude distinction, specialist in Pulmonology from the University Clinic of Navarra, and graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the National University of San Marcos. He completed his research training at the Respiratory Medicine Department of Brigham and Women's Hospital, attached to the Harvard Medical School in Boston (Massachusetts, USA)). He is a member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), He is a member of the Spanish Society of Respiratory Pathology (SEPAR) and the Basque-Navarre Society of Respiratory Pathology (SVNPAR). He also belongs to the international research group on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (BODE group). He has served as Chief Resident of Pulmonology at the University Clinic of Navarra, and has practiced as a pulmonologist at the University Clinic of Navarra and the Navarra Hospital Complex (Spain). He is a member of the medical staff at the Anglo-American Clinic. He is currently the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine.
