The duration of a regular edition is 18 weeks. Intensive editions last 9 and 4 weeks, respectively.

Yes, there are no restrictions. The Pre-Medicine program is designed for students who are finishing or have recently graduated from high school. The evaluation system for Pre-UDEP courses varies depending on the program edition. In editions 1, 2, 3, and 4, a total of six written and objective assessments are administered, distributed as follows: four Graded Assignments, one Midterm Exam, and one Final Exam. In edition 5, three assessments are administered: two Midterm Exams and one Final Exam; while in edition 6, the system is reduced to two assessments: one Midterm Exam and one Final Exam.

According to the General Academic Operating Regulations of the University of Piura, absences are penalized as follows:

• From the 20% to the 30% of absence: 1 discount point
• More than 30% up to 40% of absence: 2 discount points
• More than 40% up to 50% of absence: 3 discount points
• More than 50% up to 60% of absence: 4 discount points
• More than 60% absences: 5 discount points
