The Federico Santa María Technical University (USM) is accredited at the institutional level until December 29, 2022, in all areas of evaluation: Institutional Management, Undergraduate Teaching, Research, Postgraduate Teaching and Outreach.

Within the professional field, the University offers courses in Technical University, Technology-Based Engineering, Architecture, Commercial Engineering and Civil Engineering.

The institution seeks to contribute to society through excellent work in the training of professionals and the creation of new knowledge; addressing the problems of sustainable development, and assuming a leading role in the social, cultural and economic fields.
