The Universidad del Istmo, commonly known as UNIS, is a private university in Guatemala. It is affiliated with Opus Dei.

UNIS was officially founded in 1997 as the successor institution to the Instituto Femenino de Estudios Superiores (IFES), Institute of Higher Education for Women. Among its main objectives is to contribute to the academic, cultural and personal training of its students; promote applied research to solve societal problems; offer development possibilities to its teachers and employees; and carry out extensive work of cultural dissemination and social promotion, with a clear purpose of service.
