Presentation
The University of O'Higgins (UOH) is a state higher education institution located in the O'higgins Region, southern Chile, and created on August 7, 2015. It began its academic activity with 13 majors and divided its organization in two units: Undergraduate and Graduate Schools and Research Institutes. Currently there are institutes of Agri-Food, Animal and Environmental Sciences, Educational Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Health Sciences and Social Sciences.
In its first years and until it obtains its accreditation, the UOH will be under the tutelage of the University of Chile, the oldest state higher education institution in the country.
Its mission is to cultivate, develop and transfer knowledge and skills in various areas of knowledge, through the comprehensive training of people, high-level research, creation and innovation, and links with the environment.
