The University of Montevideo (UM) is a university of Christian identity inspired by the teachings of Saint Josemaría Escrivá. It is well positioned in international rankings in Latin America and ranks first in Uruguay. It is located in Parque Batlle, a central area of the city where the headquarters of Prudencio de Pena and the headquarters of Lord Ponsonby, which houses the Institute of Business Studies of Montevideo, are also located. In addition, the UM has a headquarters on L. Ponce Street where the Faculty of Engineering is located.
