The Universidad Autónoma de Occidente (UAO) in Cali is a private university founded in 1970. It is among the top 24 of 294 Colombian universities to have earned high-quality institutional accreditation from the National Accreditation Council of the Ministry of Education. In addition to its six undergraduate schools, the UAO offers graduate programs, micromaster's programs, and diplomas. The Universidad Autónoma de Occidente (UAO) is also recognized as an institution of and for the community, with regional and national roots and impact, integrated into its academic work within the international context.
