Founded in 1959, PUCPR is a private, non-profit Catholic university that acts as a promoter of regional development and social inclusion.

The PUCPR focuses on developing educational excellence, quality research, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.

The university has gained national and international recognition. According to one of the most important higher education rankings worldwide, the Times Higher Education, PUCPR is ranked 11th among Brazilian universities and 1st in Paraná.

It is present in four cities in the State of Paraná (Curitiba, Londrina, Maringá and Toledo).

In addition, its Teaching and Learning Center (CrEAre) offers ongoing training to its teachers,
supporting them in initiatives that promote academic innovation.
