The Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez is a public, autonomous institution founded in October 1973. It is made up of four institutes and three multidisciplinary divisions: The Institutes of Architecture, Design and Art (IADA), Engineering and Technology (IIT), Biomedical Sciences ( ICB) and Social Sciences and Administration (ICSA), the Ciudad Universitaria campus, the Nuevo Casas Grandes campus and the campus in the City of Cuauhtémoc.

Its geographical position makes it one of the most relevant institutions in northern Mexico.
