The specialization program aims to provide an updated and applied view of the concepts that form part of the different Peruvian disciplinary regimes applicable to magistrates of the Judiciary and Public Ministry, including the case review of emblematic cases pronounced by the National Board of Justice (hereinafter JNJ) and the subsequent judicial control of these carried out at national and international levels of these disciplinary acts (Constitutional Court, Judiciary and Inter-American Court of Human Rights)
At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate from the University of Piura, issued in digital format, indicating their specialization in Disciplinary Regimes for Judges and Prosecutors.
- To obtain a theoretical and practical understanding of the different Peruvian disciplinary regimes applicable to magistrates of the Judiciary and Public Ministry.
- Handling the unique concepts that regulate the disciplinary regimes of magistrates of the Judiciary and Public Ministry.
- Critical and argumentative review of emblematic cases of the disciplinary regimes of magistrates of the Judiciary and Public Ministry.
The course is adapted to the requirements of the public competitions for judges and prosecutors and to the Competition Regulations for the selection and appointment of judges and prosecutors; and of judges and prosecutors of control – open access, approved by Resolution No. 146-2025-JNJ.
This program is aimed at:
- Authorities and officials of the Judiciary, Public Ministry and National Board of Justice, especially those who serve as heads of the corresponding disciplinary bodies (Control Authorities of the Judiciary and the Public Ministry).
- Human resources departments of judges, advisors to authorities of these Public Powers, and lawyers from the private sector interested in the subject.
- Judges, Prosecutors and judicial staff, lawyers aspiring to be judges and prosecutors specializing in control, university professors of Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Procedural Law and Labor Law.
- University graduates interested in specializing in these subjects.
The program will be delivered through a blended learning methodology that combines theoretical sessions with case studies. All sessions, offered in a hybrid format, will be led by distinguished national and international professors specializing in the subject matter. Furthermore, it should be noted that the in-person classes will foster close interaction between instructors and students, while the online classes will provide students with the flexibility to actively listen and participate in the lectures.
The program consists of 80 academic hours, comprised of 60 effective hours of classes, 10 hours of work preparation and 10 hours of study of materials, and is adapted to the requirements of the Competition Regulations for the selection and appointment of judges and prosecutors; and of control judges and prosecutors – open access, approved by Resolution No. 146-2025-JNJ.
At the end of the program, the student will receive the certificate, which will be provided in digital format.
The digital certificate in the name of UDEP will indicate: Certificate awarded to the student “Names and Surnames” for having passed with grade XX the Specialization Program in Disciplinary Regimes of Judges and Prosecutors, carried out in a semi-presential modality from November 6 to December 13* of 2025, equivalent to 80 academic hours.
The certificate of completion is awarded provided the participant passes the program, has no outstanding debt with the university, and meets the 80% attendance requirement.
If you do not pass the program and have no debt with the university, you will be awarded a certificate for having participated.
A digital certificate will be provided in a blended learning format: to those who have attended the face-to-face classes (on campus) and have connected to Zoom for the virtual classes.
A digital certificate will be provided online to those who have received all classes via Zoom.
*The date of the last class may vary; the first few days of class will be indicated to enrolled students.
The certificates will be sent to the participants' email addresses in February 2026.
The program will be delivered in a blended learning format, with in-person classes at the Miraflores-Lima campus, which will promote networking among participants, and synchronous virtual classes.
Students will have 24/7 access to the UDEP Virtual platform, where they can find the reading material that the teachers will send.
Note: Specialization courses and diplomas: Specialization courses and diplomas in law are qualified, provided they are carried out only by universities recognized in accordance with the law, by the Academy of the Judiciary, bar associations, public bodies or jointly among them, and those carried out abroad by analogous institutions, provided that they have the certifications of the Peruvian consulate of the country where said studies were carried out and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru or, when it comes to foreign public documents, with the apostille referred to in the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961, that have a minimum duration of sixty (60) hours, a passing grade and an age of no more than seven (7) years to the date of publication of the call.
