The specialization program seeks to provide an updated and applicable view of the different disciplinary regimes applicable to the magistrates of the Judiciary and Public Ministry of Peru, including the case review of the emblematic cases dictated by the National Board of Justice (hereinafter JNJ) and the subsequent judicial control of the disciplinary acts carried out at the national and international level through the Constitutional Court, the Judiciary and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
- A complete understanding of the legal categories used in the different disciplinary regimes for Judges and Prosecutors.
- The application of critical thinking to the controversial issues that arise in these disciplinary regimes.
- The possibility of arguing by accusing or defending in these disciplinary regimes of magistrates.
The specialization program meets the number of hours required by the regulations (approved by Resolution No. 146-2025-JNJ) to be qualified in the public competitions for the selection and appointment of Judges and Control Prosecutors, in charge of the National Board of Justice.
- Aimed at public administration professionals at any level of government, especially those working in the areas of human resources, technical secretariat, legal advice, members and members of Administrative Tribunals, senior management personnel, heads of entities, members of disciplinary commissions.
- Personnel from various state companies (public companies).
- Private sector lawyers interested in the subject. Judges and judicial staff. Union leaders.
- University professors of Administrative Law, Criminal and Labor Law.
- High school students or university graduates interested in specializing in these subjects.
All sessions will be led by distinguished national and international professors specializing in the subject matter. Furthermore, it should be noted that in-person classes will provide close interaction between instructors and students, while online classes will offer students the flexibility to listen and actively participate in the lectures.
All classes will combine different methodologies, using both lectures and case studies, depending on the subject matter.
The program consists of 100 academic hours.
The digital certificate in the name of UDEP will indicate: Certificate awarded to the student “Names and Surnames” for having passed with a grade XX the Specialization Program in Disciplinary Regimes of judges and prosecutors, carried out in a semi-presential /online modality from October 19 to December 18, 2026, equivalent to 100 academic hours.
The certificate of completion is awarded provided the participant passes the program, has no outstanding debt with the university, and meets the 80% attendance requirement.
If you do not pass the program and have no debt with the university, you will be awarded a certificate for having participated.
The certificates will be sent to the participants' email addresses in February 2027.
The program will be delivered in a blended learning format.
In-person classes will be held at the Lima Campus (Calle Mártir José Olaya-162, Miraflores).
It will also be offered in 100% online format.
All students will have 24/7 access to the UDEP Virtual platform, where they will find the reading material sent by the teachers, presentations indicated by the teacher, and recorded classes*.
We also offer an online option for those outside of Lima; please note that classes will be broadcast via Zoom from the classroom on the university campus.
Note: Specialization courses and diplomas: Specialization courses and diplomas in law are qualified, provided they are carried out only by universities recognized in accordance with the law, by the Academy of the Judiciary, bar associations, public bodies or jointly among them, and those carried out abroad by analogous institutions, provided that they have the certifications of the Peruvian consulate of the country where said studies were carried out and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru or, when it comes to foreign public documents, with the apostille referred to in the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961, that have a minimum duration of sixty (60) hours, a passing grade and an age of no more than seven (7) years to the date of publication of the call.
