The Master's program will be offered at the Piura Campus, with two options to choose from: in-person and blended learning. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, allowing for concentrated academic sessions and facilitating the participation of working professionals.
The in-person format requires students to regularly attend scheduled sessions at the Piura Campus. This format allows for direct interaction with instructors and classmates, fostering academic dialogue, case studies, discussions of professional experiences, and networking opportunities.
The blended learning format will combine online sessions with mandatory in-person sessions at the Piura Campus. In this format, students commit to attending six in-person sessions per module, held on Saturdays, which will correspond to the assessments for six of the seven subjects that comprise each module. These sessions will allow for verification of learning outcomes, strengthen academic interaction, and ensure a learning experience compatible with the demands of a professional master's degree.
Students will have access to the UDEP Virtual platform, where they can share academic materials, readings, working documents, and program communications. The availability of recordings, if applicable, will be subject to the University's academic and administrative guidelines.
The Master's program will have a theoretical-practical approach, aimed at ensuring that participants not only learn about the legal institutions applicable to the company, but also develop criteria to solve real problems in professional practice.
The learning process will combine lectures, case studies, discussions of business problems, review of case law, analysis of contractual and corporate documents, and interactive sessions with instructors. In this way, students will be able to connect legal theory with concrete situations that commonly arise in advising companies, SMEs, agribusinesses, family businesses, public entities, regulatory bodies, and regional production organizations.
The classes will be taught by professors specializing in various areas of Business Law, who will encourage active student participation through questions, legal debate, practical case studies, and analysis of professional experiences. Each course will aim to enable participants to identify risks, evaluate alternatives, and propose viable legal solutions for business activities.
Furthermore, the Legal Research Methodology courses will progressively support the development of research, argumentation, and academic production skills applied to Business Law. This will enable participants to strengthen their ability to formulate legal problems, analyze sources, construct arguments, and develop rigorous proposals related to business realities.
The program may rely on institutional digital platforms for the delivery of materials, readings, working documents and academic communications, ensuring an orderly, dynamic learning experience connected to the professional needs of the participants.
Upon successful completion of the curriculum and fulfillment of the corresponding academic, administrative, and financial requirements (including the successful defense of a thesis or research paper), the student will obtain the degree of Master in Business Law, with one of the following specializations:
