1. Candidate profile for the program
For the purpose of the program, it is necessary to establish the profile of the incoming student, in order to guarantee that the participants possess the basic knowledge and skills that will allow them to meet the requirements and objectives of the program:
- The candidate must be aware that the practice of law requires a relevant and solid dogmatic foundation in the legal operator as a way to contribute effectively to justice and consequent social peace.
- The candidate must be seriously interested in reviewing and improving the dogmatic basis on which the different branches of Law will operate, in particular, those of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Criminal Law.
- The candidate must demonstrate at least 6 months of experience in the legal field, not necessarily as a litigator.
- The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and contribute to justice through their work related to the various branches of public law.
- The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team.
- The candidate must be proactive in their work and show an entrepreneurial attitude.
- The candidate must be able to internalize and transmit ethical principles in the performance of their duties.
2. Graduate Profile
The awarding of the Master's degree in Public Law signifies that, in the opinion of the Program Director and the Faculty of Law, the participant possesses the knowledge, skills, and personal qualities necessary to perform excellent professional work in the legal field. The awarding of the degree will be based on an evaluation of the participant's performance, their personal progress toward the specific objectives of the Program, and the successful completion and defense of their research project.
The following are the professional competencies that the graduate must achieve:
- Successfully employs the various concepts, institutions, and categories that form the dogmatic basis in solving legal problems of public law.
- Construct correct reasons, both formal and material, to satisfactorily justify the solution of legal problems related to public law.
- Develops research tasks to update and improve their knowledge of public law, and knows how to apply that research in the identification and resolution of legal problems related to public law.
- Works both as part of a team and independently.
