The Faculty of Communication at the University of Piura presents the sixth edition of the Specialized Course “Community Relations: Stakeholder Management in Operational Areas,” offered online. This 18-hour course aims to provide participants with insights and lessons learned regarding stakeholder engagement at various project stages and in different regions (coast, highlands, and rainforest), enabling them to incorporate this knowledge into their professional activities and academic work.
The course will cover topics such as stakeholder relations in exploratory scenarios, stakeholders and the operational process, operational closure and abandonment, compliance and sustainability, as well as case studies.
The course combines theoretical components with practical application in diverse community contexts, promoting an ethical, participatory, and strategic approach to community relations management. Furthermore, it will be developed in stages, building upon experiences and lessons learned in stakeholder management at different project phases.

- Analyze the different stages of a project cycle and their implications for the management of community relations and stakeholders.
- Identify the key stakeholders in operational projects in different geographical contexts and understand their dynamics, expectations, and interests.
- Design engagement and relationship strategies aligned with the project stage, context, and organizational objectives.
- Integrate real-world learning and best practices from other sectors to transfer them to your own context.
- Aimed at professionals working in Community Relations, in projects and operations in mining, hydrocarbons and energy, as well as those who are interested in developing their work activities in these contexts.
- They may be community relations professionals / social managers, development communicators, public officials and university graduates/students, as well as those interested in the topic.
Digital certificate of participation: The certificate is issued in the name of the University of Piura and will be awarded to participants who have attended a minimum of 14 hours of classes, as reported by the Zoom platform connection log. Participants must also have paid for the program in full.
All certificates will be issued virtually and sent by email within a maximum of 15 business days after the course is completed.
The course combines theory and practice to offer a comprehensive learning experience. Through lectures, group work and analysis of real cases Participants will explore key concepts and apply their knowledge.
