Communication
History
It is the academic publication of the Faculty of Communication of the University of Piura. It has disseminated research in the scientific field of communication since its beginnings in 2002.
The Communication Magazine has been the first Peruvian university publication in the area of communication, indexed in three of the best international databases: Scopus, Web Of Science and Scielo.
It was born as a printed publication. After 18 years, it has left paper format and is currently published only in digital version, in open access, to promote the dissemination and impact of scientific research.
Mission
The Communication Magazine is a non-profit publication that promotes reflection among academics and specialists around the world in the field of communication studies: journalism, ethics, information law, political communication, public opinion, communication theory, consumer behavior, advertising, cinema, corporate communication, and digital communication. Placing special focus on the new phenomena that arise in communication from different guidelines.
Vision
The Communication Magazine seeks to be a means of disseminating advances and research studies, related theories or methodologies, and current debates on new phenomena that arise in the broad science of communication. Likewise, it aims to be a benchmark academic journal due to its rigorous quality, transparency and ethical commitment in its processes. Guaranteeing to maintain a fluid and innovative network of researchers and knowledge.
