 Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the training process, the graduate is expected to acquire the following competencies:

  • To understand the conceptual, legal and regulatory framework of Occupational and Environmental Health, considering national legislation (Law No. 29783), for its proper application in work environments.
  • Identify and assess occupational and environmental risks (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, psychosocial and emerging), using recognized technical tools such as IPERC matrices and risk maps.
  • Design and implement measures for the prevention, control and mitigation of occupational and environmental risks, aimed at protecting the health of workers and improving working conditions.
  • Applying principles of epidemiology and occupational health surveillance, through the analysis of morbidity, mortality and absenteeism indicators, for evidence-based decision making.
  • Integrate the management of safety, occupational health and environment with a climate change approach, promoting sustainability, corporate social responsibility and a preventive culture in organizations.
Modality

The diploma program will be offered online. Theoretical classes, synchronous practical sessions, and case studies will be conducted via Zoom. Thematic forums and application exercises will be completed asynchronously through the virtual classroom. In the final three modules, some group work will be conducted in person.

Recertification required by the Peruvian Medical Association (CMP). Diploma issued by the University of Piura.
