The course addresses a critical and unmet need in the current academic offerings in Peru: the training of quality managers capable of implementing international standards not only in large clinics or hospitals, but also throughout the entire health ecosystem: primary care, home care, and safety in assisted transport.
The program is distinguished by its 100% applied approach, in the semi-presential modality, designed and directed by the team that led the first successful implementation of Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in hospital complexes that operate under the Bata Blanca Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in the country, demonstrating the viability of these standards under Peruvian regulations (MINSA and EsSalud).
The course aims to develop the following objectives in the student:
- Understanding the principles and foundations of the international accreditation model within the framework of quality in health and patient safety
- Analyze international accreditation standards focused on the patient and the management of the health organization
- Apply tools for the diagnosis, evaluation and monitoring of quality and safety standards.
- Design strategies for the progressive implementation of standards in different national institutional realities.
- Integrate what you have learned into a final practical project.
The program will be delivered in a blended learning format.
- The theoretical classes, synchronous practical sessions, and the development of various cases will be conducted through the Moodle virtual platform.
- The development of thematic forums and application work will be carried out synchronously through the virtual classroom.
- Certificate issued to the University of Piura in the 360° Health Accreditation Program for Clinical Patient Safety
Aimed at health professionals (doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmaceutical chemists), managers, as well as other professionals who lead non-clinical processes in public or private healthcare facilities.
