  • Course Guidelines and digital tools for the development of classes in the non-face-to-face modality

Methodology

This is a distance learning course that focuses on four main aspects of education in this modality:

Academic management, The regulatory guidelines that support the academic activities in the non-face-to-face modality of the Human Medicine study program will be explained, such as the attendance system, handling of complaints, management of evaluations, justification of absences, among others.

Use of virtual tools, through which the digital tools used in the Human Medicine study program such as Zoom, Udep Virtual and Siga Docente will be presented.

Academic advising, The advisor's role will be explained, including when and why to refer a student to their advisor and the teachers in charge. The functions of the Student Support and Welfare Office will also be mentioned.

Virtual laboratories, Guidelines will be shared regarding the development of virtual laboratories, the most commonly used programs, and suggested strategies to improve student interaction.

Methodological strategies

  1. The seminar workshop is conducted virtually, through synchronous sessions via the Zoom platform.
  2. Details for accessing the session are included in the invitation sent to each teacher's email address.
  3. The topics, depending on their nature, will include an expository part and a practical part (interaction with some tool or digital platform, as the case may be).
  4. Each session will be recorded and will form part of the digital repository of the Faculty of Human Medicine.

Assessment

The evaluation will be summative in nature and will consist of:

  • Course attendance. (50%)
  • Development of activities requested in each session. (50%)

Certification

Participants who pass the evaluation will be given a certificate from the Faculty of Human Medicine.
