Introduction to Research Methodology in Health Course

 The diploma

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals and techniques of health research. Students will explore the basic principles of research methodology, including key topics such as fundamental research principles, threats to validity, study design from a practical perspective, and research ethics. Participants will develop critical skills for evaluating scientific evidence and designing rigorous health research studies.

 Learning Objectives
  • Understanding the scientific method in the analysis of health research in the field of medicine.
  • To know and understand the threats to the validity of scientific research, potential biases and strategies for their control.
  • To know and understand the most relevant types of studies in clinical practice.
  • To know and understand the concepts of ethics in research.
Teaching methodology

The course will consist of fourteen (14) panels, each covering three topics with a twenty-five-minute presentation, followed by a fifteen-minute question and answer session. In addition, there will be one (1) opening plenary session lasting 90 minutes and three (3) keynote lectures, each lasting 45 minutes and followed by a fifteen-minute question and answer session.
