The Postgraduate and Continuing Education Unit of the Faculty of Human Medicine of the University of Piura, committed to the academic development of health professionals in the country, has developed this Clinical Simulation Facilitator Training Course – Level III aimed at teachers in charge of the training of health professionals, or aimed at teachers who provide education to health professionals, which aims to reinforce knowledge about planning, development and use of simulation as a learning strategy.
Develop the necessary skills to plan, create, implement, evaluate, and improve high-quality, accurate, and efficient simulation scenarios to ensure learning. This includes being able to objectively evaluate different types of guides, assessment tools, as well as simulation facilitators, students, and simulated patients.
Specifics:
- Create realistic, goal-oriented scenarios with identified and/or established expected learning outcomes.
- To know the assessment instruments appropriate to the scenarios and expected learning outcomes according to the activity.
- Design Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
- Expand skills as a Simulation Facilitator to support with your experience in any of the courses.
- Develop teaching skills to train and provide quality and efficient feedback to teachers and simulated patients
The program is aimed at health and education professionals who develop practices with clinical simulation.
At the end of the training process, the graduate is expected to acquire the following skills.
- To promote the development and use of clinical simulation as a teaching methodology, by designing a simulation scenario and recognizing and using the debriefing phases as formative assessment.
It is required to have taken and passed the Clinical Simulation Facilitator Training Course – Level I and II.
