The specialized course on ethics for health research is theoretical in nature, developing fundamental knowledge that will allow members of Ethics Committees to be trained and updated on theoretical aspects of medical ethics and its practical application in scientific research, considering current national and international regulations.
Members of Research Ethics Committees must make important decisions that require in-depth training. However, the activities offered to them often only address very specific topics without delving deeply into the philosophical and bioethical issues. For this reason, the decisions made are not always the most appropriate. This course is proposed to explore the anthropological basis of ethics, the foundations of ethics committees, and some bioethical aspects of current research.
At the end of the training process, the student is expected to acquire the following skills:
- To delve deeper into ethics in research, based on philosophical ethics.
- Identify the ethical considerations for research involving human subjects.
- Describe the operating processes of an Ethics Committee.
Master Classes will be held in which each of the planned topics will be presented and questions will be answered.
-The format is remote, through synchronous sessions using the Zoom platform.
- Digital certificate from the University of Piura in the Specialized Course in Ethics for the
Health Research.
-Recertification by the Medical Association of Peru.
Aimed at health professionals and professionals interested in joining or strengthening a health ethics committee, including doctors, nurses, health managers, among others.
