In Peru, cultural institutions—public, private, and non-profit—face increasingly complex challenges related to sustainability, funding, ethical management, intersectoral collaboration, and strategic leadership. The growth of cultural industries, the decentralization of public policies, the need to professionalize cultural management, and the demand for projects with social impact have highlighted the importance of having cultural managers capable of leading organizations with vision, efficiency, and social responsibility. In this context, specialized training becomes a key factor in responding to a constantly evolving sector.
The Specialization Program in Leadership and Management of Cultural Institutions at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Piura offers comprehensive training aimed at strengthening management, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills in the cultural sector. Through an applied approach contextualized to the Peruvian reality, the program provides participants with conceptual and practical tools to understand, manage, and transform cultural institutions in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
The proposal is based on a teaching staff with extensive experience in cultural management, public policy, entrepreneurship and sustainability, which guarantees rigorous, up-to-date training linked to real experiences in the sector.
