About the Program

This program has been designed to provide practical and up-to-date specialization in Consumer Law, focusing on the issues that currently generate the greatest impact and regulatory risk in the various economic sectors.

Throughout the program, participants will analyze the most recent and relevant criteria of INDECOPI, with special emphasis on abusive practices, discrimination and differential treatment, consumer health and safety, consumer contracts, and general contract terms. The approach is eminently applied, combining legal analysis with real-world cases and administrative decisions that set the standard in professional practice.

The program will allow for anticipating contingencies, reducing sanction risks, and improving decision-making in regulated environments, providing concrete tools and updated knowledge that are key for lawyers, consultants, and professionals who interact with consumers or administrative authorities.

 

Goals
  • To delve into the fundamentals of Consumer Protection Law, understanding consumer rights, supplier obligations, and applicable protection standards in practice.
  • Identify and manage regulatory risks in key sectors of the economy, applying the latest INDECOPI criteria for professional decision-making.
  • To act strategically in consumer procedures and conflicts, using administrative, sanctioning and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms effectively.

 

Participant profile
  • Law graduates or university graduates interested in updating and specializing in this subject.
  • Lawyers and jurists, from the public and private sectors, interested in improving their skills, competencies and knowledge for the best conduct of this matter in professional and/or academic practice.
  • University professors who work in an academic discipline related to Consumer Law.

 

Certification

The certificate lists the accredited academic hours.

A certificate of completion will be awarded provided the participant has attended at least 80% class sessions and receives a passing grade on the assessment. Otherwise, a certificate of participation will be awarded.
