As is known, one of the most important powers that the Public Administration has is the exercise of sanctioning power. In our Specialization Program we aim to provide guidelines regarding the correct exercise of this, both from a theoretical and practical perspective.
In this sense, the first part of the program analyzes the concept of infringement, the principles of administrative sanctioning law, sanctions, and the forms of extinction of liability, etc. In the second part, with more practical content, certain sectors are analyzed where the Administration exercises its sanctioning powers, both internal (as in disciplinary law) and external.
The program will have a theoretical-practical approach that will combine lectures with case studies, led by national and international teachers specializing in the subject.
The program will be delivered through in-person classes (at the Lima campus: Calle Mártir José Olaya 162, Miraflores), which will foster close interaction between instructors and students. Furthermore, this allows for the development of connections among students, which is important for sharing knowledge and experiences, as well as for establishing networking relationships that may prove valuable later on.
As a general rule, classes will be held three times a week, which includes approximately 10 to 15 minutes of rest in the middle of the session, as indicated by the teacher.
Students will have 24/7 access to the UDEP Virtual platform, where they can find the reading materials sent by their professors. The platform will only be available until the end of the program.
We also offer an online option for participants located outside of Lima. Classes will be broadcast via Zoom from the classroom on the university campus, allowing for active participation with the other attendees.
*Recorded sessions will not be given to participants, except in cases of absence duly justified by unforeseen circumstances or force majeure.
