Pre-professional internships – Marketing Communications

Pre-professional internships constitute a type of training modality that allows university students to apply their knowledge, skills and abilities in a real work situation. The Faculty of Communication requests a total of 500 hours of pre-professional practices from the 2014 Study Plan, which can be distributed in more than one training period and in different institutions and/or companies where communication tasks are performed.

Procedures

  1. If the company or institution requests it -and before starting the internship period-, the student must request a letter of presentation of pre-professional internships, from the General Secretariat of the University.
  2. Once the 500 hours of internship have finished, the student must present the respective report to the Faculty's pre-professional internship coordinator.
  3. The pre-professional internship coordinator will send the report presented by the student to the management of the corresponding areas (Journalism, Audiovisual Communication or Marketing Communications) to evaluate and determine the validity or not of the internship periods carried out.
  4. The result of the evaluation will be informed to the coordinator of pre-professional practices within a maximum period of one month.
  5. The coordinator of pre-professional practices will send the report and the results of the evaluation to the Academic Secretary, which must be delivered to the student.
  6. The approved pre-professional internship periods will be recorded in the student's file along with a copy of the internship certificate and the evaluation form.
