Las rotaciones clínicas hospitalarias son una parte esencial en la formación de los estudiantes de Ciencias de la Salud, como Medicina Humana, ya que permiten aplicar en un entorno real los conocimientos adquiridos en la universidad. La Pontificia Universidad Católica de Paraná ( PUCPR) es una universidad católica privada sin ánimo de lucro. El campus principal está situado en Curitiba, la ciudad capital del Estado de Paraná, Brasil. La universidad dispone de cuatro campus más en Londrina, Maringá, São José dos Pinhais y Toledo.

• Recognize and understand innovative clinical practices and medical techniques through direct observation of procedures in a highly complex hospital environment, in order to expand and consolidate the knowledge acquired during university training.
• To analyze the functioning, organization, and access to services in an international health system, developing a comprehensive vision of healthcare from a comparative and global perspective.
• Develop communication and interpersonal skills by interacting with patients, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams in a diverse sociocultural environment, strengthening empathy, respect and the ability to work in multicultural contexts.

Students of the Professional School of Human Medicine who meet the following requirements:

• Have a valid enrollment in the 2026-II academic period.
• Be in at least the 4th year of your degree program.
• With a weighted average greater than or equal to 13.

• International training experience in specialized clinical settings, which enriches professional training and broadens the academic and cultural perspective of the participating student.
• Professional and international projectionThe experience allows students to strengthen their academic and professional profile, expanding their intercultural skills, their network of contacts in the international medical field, and their opportunities for future postgraduate programs abroad.
• Official certificate of participation, otorgada por la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la Universidad de Piura al finalizar la estancia formativa, que respalda la experiencia académica y clínica adquirida.Enriquecer la formación académica y clínico-quirúrgica a través de la inmersión en un entorno hospitalario de alta complejidad, especializado en el manejo integral del paciente.

• In person

La experiencia permitirá al estudiante conocer otros enfoques de enseñanza y práctica médica, interactuar con docentes y estudiantes de diferentes áreas de la salud y ampliar la visión sobre los desafíos actuales de la medicina.
Asimismo, la pasantía favorece el desarrollo de competencias académicas y profesionales, fortalece la autonomía y la capacidad de adaptación del estudiante, y constituye una valiosa experiencia de internacionalización que contribuye a su crecimiento personal y profesional.

• The rotation will take place from 01 al 26 de febrero del 2027.
• El horario para la ejecución de actividades será establecido por la PUCPR. según el área médica asignada. Este podrá incluir turnos mañana o tarde, de lunes a viernes, con posibilidad de sesiones académicas complementarias y actividades prácticas supervisadas.

• 1 cirugía general
• 1 medicina interna

La primera fase de esta convocatoria estará a cargo de la UDEP. La segunda fase estará a cargo de la propia PUCPR, quien determinará si el alumno cumple todos los requisitos para optar por alguna de las plazas.

• Acceptance of the place by the selected candidates: hasta el 30 de octubre 2026.

The receipt of files will be carried out in a virtual until the September 11, 2026, through the online application enabled by the Interinstitutional Relations and Internationalization Unit (UREINI).

Application Form for the Student Mobility Program, Call for Applications 2026 – II

The application must include the following mandatory documents:

• APPLICATION FORM, with the applicant student's data

• Cover letter, addressed to the Director of the Professional School of Human Medicine, indicating the student's personal data and a brief explanation of the reasons that led him to apply to the Student Mobility Program and indicating specialty(ies) with intention to rotate.

• Curriculum vitae, undocumented (maximum 2 pages).

• Academic record or certificate that proves the required cumulative index.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring the truthfulness and authenticity of the data and documents submitted.

Applications submitted after the deadline or that do not meet all the required criteria will not be accepted.

The selection process consists of two phases:

• First phase (UDEP):

El Comité Evaluador de la Facultad de Medicina Humana revisa la documentación presentada, califica a los candidatos y realiza entrevistas personales para conocer su motivación, trayectoria académica y expectativas sobre la movilidad. Con base en esta evaluación, se publica el listado de estudiantes nominados para postular a la PUCPR.

• Second phase:

Nominated students will need to complete their clinical rotation request según el proceso de la PUCPR.

La aceptación definitiva está sujeta a la evaluación final realizada por la PUCPR.

The accepted student must submit the Commitment to accept vacancy,el cual debe estar debidamente completado y firmado dentro del plazo establecido.

Nominated students must attach the following documents:

• Valid passport.
• Record number of vaccines.
• Expediente académico.
• Carta de intención.
• Demás documentos que solicite la Universidad de destino.

On behalf of the University of Piura (UDEP):

Students who leave the Student Mobility Program without justification, after being evaluated and accepted, will be excluded without the possibility of participating in future calls, and may be subject to a penalty, depending on the call.

Offenses during the application process or during the validity of student mobility will be sanctioned in accordance with the Regulations of Disciplinary Measures for students of the University of Piura.
