International Rotation - University Clinic of Navarra

Doing hospital clinical rotations means that students of health careers, such as human medicine, carry out practices in different services or specialties within a hospital, as part of their professional training.

These clinical rotations at the University of Navarra Clinic involve integrating into the healthcare team; observing and learning patient care under supervision; rotating through different areas according to their choice and the availability of the host institution; applying what they have learned at the University in a real healthcare environment; and developing clinical, ethical, communication, and teamwork skills.

The Clínica Universidad de Navarra —known as Clínica Universitaria de Navarra from its founding until 2009— is a private Spanish university hospital with locations in Pamplona and Madrid.

The Clínica Universidad de Navarra is a university hospital based on the Anglo-Saxon model and a research center, a leader in personalized medicine in Spain.

Recognized for its research and teaching work, the prestige of its professionals and its track record in the diagnosis and treatment of highly complex pathologies, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra is a high-resolution hospital, due to its rapid diagnosis thanks to its multidisciplinary work and the acquisition of the latest technology, to offer care in 46 medical and surgical specialties.

• Gaining access to innovative medical practices and techniques, as observers so that students can expand their knowledge of clinical procedures.
• To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the organization of and access to care in health systems foreigners promoting their competence in international environments.
• Encourage interaction with patients from diverse sociocultural backgrounds, improving students' ability to communicate and relate effectively in a multicultural context.

Students of the Professional School of Human Medicine who meet the following requirements:

• Students of the Professional School of Human Medicine enrolled in the 2026-II semester.
• Be a student in 4th year or higher.
• Have a weighted average of at least 13.

• International practical experience in specialized clinical settings, differentiating itself with training that goes beyond what is offered locally.
• Upon completion of the training period, students will receive a certificate from UDEP.

• In person

The rotation will take place in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, at either of its two locations: Pamplona or Madrid.

The Pamplona branch is located on the University of Navarra campus, on Avenida Pío XII. Quality, research, innovation, and the generation of new scientific knowledge are hallmarks of Clínica Navarra at both its Pamplona and Madrid branches. The Madrid branch, located at Calle Marquesado de Santa Marta 1, is a high-resolution research center with cutting-edge technology and offers care in 50 medical specialties with meticulous nursing attention.

• From January 11 to February 5, 2027.
• The schedule for carrying out activities will be established by the University of Navarra, according to the assigned medical area. This may include morning or afternoon shifts, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of supplementary academic sessions and supervised practical activities.

• 2 places available.

• Those designated by the University of Navarra.

The application, selection, and acceptance process will take place on the following dates:

• Applications and documentation will be accepted until September 9, 2026.
• Evaluation of files and interviews until September 14, 2026.
• Publication and communication of students nominated by UDEP to UNAV September 14, 2026.
• The second phase of the selection of students nominated by UNAV will begin on September 14, 2026.

The receipt of files will be carried out until September 9, 2026, at 11:00 PM, through the online application process enabled by the Interinstitutional Relations and Internationalization Unit (UREINI).

The application must include the following mandatory documents:

• Application Form with the applicant student's data
• Letter of motivation, addressed to the Director of the Professional School of Human Medicine, indicating the student's personal data and a brief explanation of the reasons that led him to apply to the Student Mobility Program.
• Curriculum vitae undocumented (maximum 2 pages).
• Document or certificate that proves the required cumulative index.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring the truthfulness and authenticity of the data and documents submitted.

Applications submitted after the deadline or that do not meet all the required criteria will not be accepted.

The selection process consists of two phases:

• First phase (UDEP):

The Evaluation Committee of the Faculty of Human Medicine reviews the submitted documentation, assesses the candidates, and conducts personal interviews to understand their motivation, academic background, and expectations regarding the exchange program. Following this evaluation, the list of selected candidates is published.

• Second phase (UNAV):

Nominated students must complete the requirements set by UNAV.

The accepted student must submit the Commitment to accept vacancy, which must be duly completed and signed within the established timeframe.

You must also attach the following documents:

• Simple copy of the valid and current National Identity Document.
• Simple copy of international health insurance that covers health throughout their stay.
• Simple copy of complete vaccination card.

Students who leave the Student Mobility Program without justification, after being evaluated and accepted, will be excluded without the possibility of participating in future calls, and may be subject to a penalty, depending on the call.

Offenses committed during the application process or during the student mobility period will be penalized. in accordance with the Regulations on Disciplinary Measures for students of the University of Piura.
