Frequently Asked Questions
What is an outgoing student mobility program?
Outbound student mobility is the process by which students temporarily relocate to a national or international university or educational institution, as well as to public or private healthcare institutions, as part of the Student Mobility Program (SMP). The main objective of this mobility is to allow students to conduct studies, research, and/or academic internships in an environment different from their home institution, with the aim of enriching their academic training and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
When can I make an outbound move?
You can participate in an outgoing mobility program during the extracurricular period.
What is the maximum duration of an outbound mobility?
The maximum duration of a mobility period is 120 days, with no possibility of extension.
How to choose an exit mobility plan?
Choosing an outbound mobility program involves evaluating the available options based on the program's call for applications, your personal and academic goals, and the specific requirements of each program. It is essential to research the opportunities, consider your individual interests, and consult with your advisor or professors to make an informed decision.
In addition, it is important to review eligibility requirements, request detailed information about programs of interest, and assess available resources before committing to an outbound mobility program.
If I am going to a foreign-speaking institution, do I need to present a language proficiency certificate?
If you intend to attend an institution where the language is different from your own, you will likely need to provide proof of proficiency in that language. Specific requirements will vary depending on the institution and program you are applying to, so it is important to research and verify the language requirements of your destination institution.
Can I apply more than once to the Exit Mobility Program?
Yes, it is possible to apply multiple times to different outgoing mobility programs, as long as you meet the requirements and eligibility criteria established in each program.
It is important to remember that applying does not guarantee acceptance and awarding of the vacancy, as each application goes through an evaluation process by an Evaluation Committee that selects the most suitable candidates to participate in the mobility program.
How can I resolve problems or difficulties that may arise during my departure?
It is essential that as a participant in the Student Mobility Program you have constant support and guidance from the Coordination of Internships and Clinical Rotations throughout the program.
In addition, you have a tutor assigned by the host institution, who will be there to help you, guide you, and ensure that your academic experience is a success.
By having these resources and maintaining open communication with the team, you will be able to tackle any challenge with confidence and peace of mind during your adventure abroad.
